UK Premiere: Tansy Davies

On the 17th May 2021, Ben Goldscheider and Elise Campbell will give the UK Premiere of Tansy Davies’s Yoik for solo horn at Snape Maltings, Aldeburgh. The work, inspired by the sounds of nature, will be broadcast live from the beautiful surroundings in Snape, the two horns working together in an antiphonal setting.

The 17th May is not only the date in which concert halls re-open their doors, it is also the centenary of the legendary horn player Dennis Brain. To this end, Ben will also play Sir Peter Maxwell-Davies’s “Fanfare Salute to Dennis Brain” to celebrate the occasion.
